whose plan?

August 29, 2008 at 2:07 pm (writing) (, , )

Think again.  According to my plan, Indigo Dancer would be done about now but noooooo.  Nefer and Vail had to find a blood feud to dabble in.  Of course, they could ignore it and attempt to salvage as much as they can from this new ship, then hightail it out of there…

according to plan

As usual, I don’t really have one which is working out quite well for my Katri.  They’re about to locate a ship they can ransack for parts and hopefully get back into space … and maybe even into the right universe.  The thing is, I’m wondering about Ilesha Mordreau of the Butterfly Sting.  Maybe she was pulled into this universe in the wake of the Katri so she could be orbiting the planet and in a worse mood than their last enocunter.  Oops.

Justinian Avon

Panic at naming another planet caught me staring at my Georgette Heyer collection and in particular that novel, the one with the hero who scarred me for life… or so I realised when I visited These Old Shades earlier this year.

The Duke of Avon … sigh.

Also of interest is the Katri menu.  They have shiraz, rocket, apples, gingerbread icecream (swoon) but they don’t have strawberries.  They do have strawfruit.  Which either grows on trees or vines.  Haven’t figured that bit out yet.

laugh out loud

Exactly what I did while cooking (pasta) when I realised my Katri troopers liberated a second ship… the Indigo Dancer.  Only problem is other people recognise that ship and have a shoot first mentality.

incanto

August 23, 2008 at 10:03 am (Siren's Gate) (, , , )

One brief spark of the Oh My variety lit up my Thursday but unfortunately not enough to lure me back into the Siren’s Gate storyline.  In Episode 12 things go very wrong for Angel; now I know it’s connected to the Violetta Incanto, the book she agreed to obtain for Robert Winter despite the fact it probably doesn’t exist..

The Phoenix File

AKA Angel Episode 10 is now complete.  It grew a lot more than I expected, finishing around the 14500 mark. By the time my lovely test readers demand this bit gets expanded and that bit doesn’t quite make sense… maybe 15000.

There are vampires at last, Librarians, a killer plant, champagne truffles, a bit of betrayal, fireworks, a hint of romance to come and a swordfight.  Yes, exit a character, which is going to have so many ramifications in the next volume.

wardrobe confusion

August 19, 2008 at 1:07 pm (Siren's Gate) (, )

Next time a new character turns up I’m going to ignore her until she proves she doesn’t have wardrobe impeding appendages like Sherlock with her tail and Angel’s wings.

Halo

August 17, 2008 at 2:02 pm (Siren's Gate) (, , )

They make a ringing noise when you drop them.

As a Dark angel, my Angel of Siren’s Gate doesn’t have a halo and at the moment she doesn’t have a home either.  She’s adrift due to the closure of the site housing her series.  It’s a temporary situation.  I have A Plan.
